About TAGAP

A non-profit game development community in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, founded in 2024 — we help people make their first game through monthly game dev meetups, game jams, panel talks, and workshops.

Quick Answers

Why does TAGAP exist?
Because we love games and want more people to be empowered to make them. We aim to grow Romania’s indie game scene through inclusion, education, and well-being — building a sustainable, ethical community where creativity can thrive.
Who founded TAGAP, and when?
Adi (professional game developer), Beatrice (clinical psychologist), and Giani (machine learning engineer) started TAGAP in 2024, after Gameloft Cluj — at the time the only game studio in Cluj — closed, leaving local gamedevs without a place to meet.
Where does TAGAP meet?
Monthly meetups every first Friday, usually at Double Decker Bistro in Cluj-Napoca, plus game jams and workshops at Founder's Hive and partner venues in Transylvania.
How do I join TAGAP?
Anyone can join the TAGAP community — beginners included. Sign up on the Join page or come to the next monthly meetup.
Does TAGAP cost anything?
No — TAGAP is a non-profit association, and its meetups, game jams, and workshops are free. We’ll do our best to keep it that way whenever possible.
What games has TAGAP made?
Community games include DragonJump (in development, made with 2bytesgoat) and a custom Scoundrel-inspired game built for ETHCluj 2026, playable on our DIY arcade cabinet.
